The 2008 Subaru Liberty is on sale now. While it looks similar to the 2007 model, it features new engine technology and safety features.
The base model Liberty the 2.0R will leave the range with the new entry level being the 2008 Subaru Liberty 2.5i which will start at $32,490. The power of the 2.5 litre engine in the Liberty will increase to 127Kw at 6000rpm.
The 2.0R model was not as popular as the 2.5 litre model and this is the reason for its discontinuation. The 2.5 Litre Subaru Liberty engine has far more torque than the 2 Litre engine even though both had similar Kw power outputs.
