The Subaru Liberty GT is the current performance flagship in the Liberty range. It currently has a 2.5 Litre turbo engine and puts out 184kW of power.
With the first model of the Liberty GT the 2004 was released at the end of 2003 it came packing a 2 litre engine boasting 180kW and 310Nm of torque and priced into the 50 grand range. The hot liberty delivered powerful performance with 0-100 in 6.8 seconds. The model was available with a 5 speed auto gearbox.
The 2005 Liberty GT came available with a 5 speed manual gearbox. And in 2006 a Subaru Liberty GT Tuned by STI model became available. It had an upgraded feature set including a power increase to 200kW and torque raising to 343Nm.
The 2007 model Liberty GT came with the larger 2.5 litre turbo engine and power increased to 184kW and torque up to 339Nm. A 6 speed manual gearbox also became avaialble in this model the the form of the Liberty GT spec.B. A tuned by STI model also became available with further upgrades including power stepping up to 194kW and torque up to a huge 350Nm.
