Power and Performance

With 190kW at 6400rpm and 320Nm of torque at 4800rpm the Liberty B4 can post some impressive figures for its 1495kg kerb weight. 0-100 Km/h can be acomplished in 6.5 seconds when launched hard.

Criticism of power delivery

The Liberty B4 received much criticism for the way power was delivered from the 2 litre twin turbo-charged engine. The problem was in the arrangement of the second turbo, there was a gap between the first turbo running out of its operating range and the second turbo coming onto boost. This meant that there was a dip of power and torque in the 4000-5000 rpm range.
